
Karaoke Contest Rules
RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE OR MODIFICATION AT ANY TIME All Competition participants must be 18 years of age or older and must agree to participate in next level competitions if selected by the venue, judges or selection committee. Any person may enter the national competition 17 years of age but will become 18 years of age on or before September, 1, 2007. Local, State and Federal laws supersede these rules where persons under the age of 18 are prohibited to enter businesses or locations governed by Local, State or Federal laws. Persons, who entertain, whether it is their whole or part-time income, are allowed to compete so long as that person does not belong to any professional organization connected with the entertainment industry that would cause KWC-USA or any of KWC-USA'S representative's to pay such competition participant a fee or any other benefit for taking part in any KWC-USA event. |

LOCAL CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS |

THESE RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE OR MODIFICATION AT ANY TIME 1. All competition participants must be 18 years of age or older. Any person may enter the national competition that is 17 years of age, but will become 18 years of age on or before September, 1, 2007. Local, State and Federal laws supersede these rules where persons under the age of 18 are prohibited to enter businesses or locations governed by Local, State or Federal laws. 2. Approved Partners at the local level may, at their discretion, charge a competition entry fee from which percentage of revenues collected from entry fees shall go to offset competition expenses and provide prizes. 3. Approved Partners may at their discretion charge an admission charge to any non-competition participant attending a KWC-USA / KWC event. 4. Approved KWC-USA / KWC partners may hold competitions between May 1, 2007 and July 23, 2007. All local competition finals must be concluded no later than July 23, 2007 and the names and all associated contact information with photographs of contest winners must be mailed or faxed to KWC-USA no later than August 1, 2007. 5. No Karaoke Jock (KJ), assistant / Club owner / Venue owner / Venue lessee/their family or any other individual connected directly with KWC-USA or KWC-USA competition may enter at the local or regional level 6. Any KJ / KJ's assistant / Club owner/Venue owner / Venue lessee/their family or any other individual connected directly with KWC-USA, and not connected directly with the national event, may enter the KWC-USA national competition through the self-sponsorship method as long as no other rule would prohibit the entry of such competition participant. 7. Any competition participant not advancing to a regional site through a local competition may enter a regional competition by paying a nominal non-refundable fee of $100 to KWC-USA at the address above, in the form of a money order no less than 7 days prior to the regional competition date. 8. Persons, who entertain, whether it is their whole or part-time income, are allowed to compete so long as that person does not belong to any professional organization connected with the entertainment industry that would cause KWC-USA or any of KWC-USA'S representative's to pay such competition participant a fee or any other benefit for taking part in any KWC-USA event. 9. Any person may enter the competition that belongs to an Organized Labor Union connected with the entertainment industry, so long as that person is not disqualified by rule number 8. |
